Thank you to all that participated in our Fireside Chat with Real Business Change Makers on Wednesday, October 11. We had the pleasure of having Marjorie Perry, of MZM Construction, as our keynote speaker, as well as, an inspiring panel made up of Elisa Charters from Latina Surge, Catherine O’Hern from Schenck, Price, Smith & King, and Laurie Jones of Jersey Girl Caterers.

Kearny Bank ChangeMakers hosted a clothing drive in support of Dress for Success, whose mission is to empower women to achieve economic independence by providing a network of support, professional attire, and the development tools to help women thrive in work and in life. During the week of June 20 – 24 all Kearny Bank branches, and corporate offices collected gently used women’s clothing and delivered collected items to Dress for Success on Wednesday, July 12, 2023.

In addition to the $8,000 donation we made to Table to Table, a New Jersey based nonprofit organization, we assembled a team of 8 to organize and pack food and other necessities to deliver to food insecure individuals throughout Bergen, Essex, Hudson, and Passaic counties. Thank you to our Kearny Bank ChangeMakers who donated their time for this volunteer effort.

Established in March, the Kearny Bank ChangeMakers initiative focuses on making professional mentorship, education, networking opportunities, and banking advice available to women in business, including women entrepreneurs. The kickoff networking event was held on April 26 at Kearny Bank’s corporate office and drew about 40 attendees.
