Verona resident elevated to Executive Vice President / Deputy Chief Financial Officer position by Kearny Bank
Verona resident Sean Byrnes has been elevated by Kearny Bank to the position of Executive Vice President / Deputy Chief Financial Officer. Byrnes, who’s based at the bank’s Fairfield corporate office, will assume a larger role in strategy development, investor relations, and balance sheet management.

Reflecting its longstanding commitment to supporting the communities where it conducts business, Kearny Bank has, through its foundation, donated a pair of 60-inch, Hi-Lift First Responder rescue jacks to the Jersey City Fire Department’s Squad Company #4, as well as 36 CMC pulleys to the department’s Rescue Company #1. “The equipment that enables us to do our jobs is subject to extremely harsh conditions, so it needs to be replaced quite regularly,” says Deputy Chief Robert Daly of the Jersey City Fire Department and a board member of the Jersey City Fire Foundation.

The Valerie Fund – a Maplewood-based organization that provides support to children with cancer and blood disorders – has received a combined, $13,840 donation from Kearny Bank and its employees. Specifically, the KearnyBank Foundation donated $10,000, while individual team members contributed an additional $3,840 through participation in The Valerie Fund’s recent 5K fundraising walk in Verona.

During its recent 2023 “Heart of the Meadowlands Gala,” the Meadowlands YMCA received a $25,000 sponsorship donation from Kearny Bank.
