Meeting a need, in Wayne
Kearny Bank’s Wayne branch location recently collaborated with the Wayne Interfaith Network Food Pantry on a one-month food drive in support of local residents. Donated items, most of which went to local seniors, were contributed by Kearny Bank clients in response to the bank’s call for support.

Raising money ... by wearing jeans
Culminating an employee-based fundraising effort, Kearny Bank recently donated $10,015 to the American Cancer Society. The money was collected bank-wide from those employees who, for a one-month period, elected to pay $5 on Fridays in exchange for the privilege of wearing jeans to the office.

Financial Literacy ... and cookies
To help boost the financial awareness of some local youngsters, Kearny Bank’s Sea Girt branch recently hosted a hands-on, educational tour for the Allenwood Daisy Troop. Focused on understanding and recognizing monetary denominations, lessons included “Pin the Money on the Box of Cookies,” during which the Daisies calculated how many cookie boxes could be purchased with the amount of money available to them.
